First Steps in Improv is a single, introductory 2-hour free taster session in which you’ll take your first steps into the art of comedy improv. Designed for anyone looking to develop their communication skills and discover the joy of spontaneity – whether or not you want to take these skills onto the stage.
Improv in 6 Acts
Improv in 6 Acts is a 6-week course in Oxford (and Abingdon) that teaches the core skills of comedy improvisation in a structured, friendly way. Expect practical exercises, short scenes, reflection and plenty of laughs — with an emphasis on confidence, spontaneity and collaboration. It’s designed for complete beginners and returners, and it’s just as useful if you’re here for everyday communication as if you’d like to move towards performing. Sessions run 7–9.30pm, weekly, for six weeks.
Weekly Wednesday Improv Workshops
A friendly weekly workshop in Oxford mixing improv comedy, sketch, clowning and a little acting technique. It’s open to all levels — from “not sure what improv is” to regular players. Expect guided games and exercises that build confidence, stretch the imagination, and lead into short scene work. Come along for a single session, or make it a weekly habit.
Workshops in your organisation
We run improv-based workshops for organisations and private groups that want more creativity, confidence and presence — in meetings, presentations and day-to-day collaboration. Sessions are practical and light on theory: short exercises, coached practice, and simple tips you can use straight away. You’ll be led by our faculty of experienced facilitators, who keep the room safe, well-paced and enjoyable, whatever people’s starting point.
